Please advise where you plan on cruising with this so I can avoid the area with my fully insured vessel to avoid complications. There's enough uninsured heaps of junk floating around our waterways at present. Good seamanship comes with a seaworthy vessel, this vessel requires money to be spent on it to fit the criteria of being seaworthy hence the price tag.

SA good to see you back in the fold. Unfortunately I think your prejudice to cruising in the vicinity of uninsured vessels may severely limit your horizons

If you can get comprehensive insurance for your yacht I would suggest checking what is actually covered. New policies sometimes don't cover the rig at all!

Sold in 15mins after the ad was placed for asking price.. I was the 10th enquiry. Looks like a great boat, Meta (France) make and design really nice boats, centreboarders, bulbed bilge keels etc. This is a fixed fin.

Well priced SS39. Interior looks pretty average.

Also a nice and well priced Mottle 33....

Maybe I need to sell my Cavalier 32..

Those S&S 39s have a very contorted hull shape. The Waterline length would be incredibly small. The Mottle looks really interesting with it's much more powerful engine extra couple of winches and tall rig with very recently replaced rigging. Running rigging looks pretty new too. Id be there in a shot if I was still in the market.

Nether the less, with 35+ years of yachting history here in Perth I am sure it has its tales to tell!

Actually once healed over the true waterline comes into effect and the 39 will power upwind. Downwind has a tendency to wander a little bit still comfortable and efficient. Not unusual to sit on good speed in winds under 20kn although they really love 25+.

The mooring fees and the cost to slip plus the cost of antifoul paint is what has made this boat tired!

Ok, this one has me frothing. Was for sale very briefly about a year ago in Lavender Bay. Had a look for it over Australia day but it wasn't there. Now it looks like it is in Gore Cove Bay.

A mate had one of these on Jervis Bay a few years ago. Had a square top main and an assy off an 18 foot skiff. It was a blast to sail on the bay.

Great yacht here but it is not an Adams 26, rather a Laurie Davidson designed Mutiny 8 built by Mutiny Yachts. Unfortunately they were too late on the market after the Sonata 8, S80 and Adams 8 and probably around 10 were built - but a great harbour day sailer and club racer, would totally clean up the Sonata 8 but not the other two all things being equal.

I gave serious consideration to this Masters Prentice 24 in 2019 when she was for sale for $7000 Negotiable in Bunderberg but Bundy a long way for me. Aside from some electronics and now on GC seems not much done since then. Don't think she would be a "deep water cruiser either". Now when it gets back to $7000 might have a look.

BB, Now that international boarders are opening up I recon you'll be able to get it for < $7k. Lots of money has been thrown into the past time market, yachts, caravans, guitars, push bikes,old cars, bla bla, bla, it's all going to go back on the market soon. Well that's my opinion !
