Wide thick tails are ****. Rails and tails are for turning. Wide and thick just makes it harder.

They do look a bit eggy but they are more HP when you touch and feel... Very much a step up for the SB guy than a shorter craft for LB guys... Having not surfed an SB for years though I jumped on my buddies and had no probs at all... Paddles in easy, turns vertical real easy and has plenty of acceleration.

I found it way better than a lot of other production boards that it competes with.

Sounds exactly like what a proper mid should be. go fast, stay in the pocket, do turns and go vertical.

I wouldn't call anything under 6'10 a mid length and thats pushing it, but that clearwater is a nice looking board, much the same as my Rusty Slayer but far from a mid

Umm. How a 6.1 x 20 x2 1/2 becomes a mid i dont know.

Its a hybrid model. A good one for sdr because of it performance capabilities .
Im think it only was glassed midweek so im doing my best to stay of it.
My next board on the radar is a lost beach buggy 2 . Kable is raving about this one.

Even before i talked to him it caught my eye.
The debate is 6.1 at 32.5 lt or 6 at 31 lt.
The nomad at 32.5 pu will tell me where im at .

Yeah, agree, it's a shortboard, just when Andy said a step up for shortboarders. I thought he has more talking his mates was more in the 7ft range.

I think traditionally / historically that's what mids are. Boards like the end of the lb era. That were designed to go faster, turn stay in the pocket and go more vertically. G&s magic model is my idea of the first boards of the midlength type. Seems these days though everything over 7 foot is called a mid..

Heard good things about the beach buggy, mate took one to indo and really liked it.

Love my 6ft 6" Sunova Soul. I think at least 44 Litres. I wanted a modern day board close to the size of an old late 70s Carabine single fin I used to ride. I'm not into boom crash opera surfing & obviously can't shred waves. But love carving & cruising along the top half of a wave & dropping down just before it breaks with fast down the line speed. Plus gliding over sections to the next break to make the most out of every wave I catch. Plus the high volume helps a weak paddler like me to paddle back up to 200 metres to do it again.
Tried different fin set ups & so far love the single fins.

Ha ha I was scrolling through posts from the top of the page and thinking...'should ask if anyone knows when the electric acid board test with Steph comes out' since the trailer was already available and get to the bottom of the page and it's right there. Right on AndyrooMac.
I wish she'd worn boardshorts so I could concentrate on the boards she was riding more...

Yep had a few bonzers and have a 6'10 speed egg atm which is fantastic, was after a 7'2 but scored this one second hand, great as a one board traveller and gets on most airlines no dramas.Mine is a bonzer 3, where did you check em out at and did they have many in stock at the size you're after?

I have a 7'6" that i purchased from Duncan in Hawaii last year....

i have found it needs some drive in the wave to really get going, not a small mush board for me unfortunately, just does not have the foam in it, even though it has the length
