If I was in Sydney still I would have a look at this. Always loved the look of the Bounty 35.

Big powerful boats. That's excellent value. Spend $45 on some Metal Gleam and about an hour scrubbing with a stiff nylon brush on the deck and topsides and go sailing. Those halyard winches need to be shifted back to the rear of the cabin though for short-handed sailing. I would prefer the UFO but this boat has better deck gear.

Yep, that looks like a tiller boat. Are there wheel versions originally? I've never sailed one but I like the lines.

All the local ones have wheel steering.

Its a Sydney thing Shaggy . . Tiller gives better feel and lets you get forward for protection when the going gets tough etc.etc. but I guess if you've converted the sail bin, head and wet locker forward of the bulk head to a berth and enclosed head and only sail on sunny days..........

OMG they all have wheels these-days with lots of canvas over the cockpit. May as well buy a motor cruiser

Sadly, it's just not the same trying to explain to a newby about weather and lee helm...with a wheel. Ruins the whole thing.

Pretty much the same as a Pawtucket aren't they? Looked carefully at one of those in Balmain when I was looking about 6 months ago and just after I looked at it the guy jumped the price up about 25 grand. Although it is true that it is a big beamy IOR style 35 footer I think boats always seem substantially bigger when they don't waste a metre from the stern on a lazarette but rather use it for half the cockpit. I like the double spreader rig and the substantial chainplate for the baby stay. Not so much the heavily cambered fordeck but then my NS38 has that too.

I think this is the only Marieholm 32 in Australia and has just come on the market again. Very classy long keeler.

I must disagree with morning bird I believe this to be a good buy ,I wouldn't buy it as I'm looking for a yacht in the $500,000 plus price range only because I work in the industry and have knocked out a lifetime lot of sea miles and know what I want ,my type of yacht for sale will not be displayed on this site
if somebody is looking to buy a yacht new to yachting first time and try the lifestyle then this is good little experiment
After all 60 grand won't even buy a SUV these days

We have discussed this one previously. Lovely boat but they are asking serious money for an SS30. Engine is twice the size it needs to be. I never like seeing plastic hoses in the engine room!

In my view grossly over priced. You can get a lot of boat for anything over $50k and an S&S30, great boats as they are, just doesn't measure up in that price range of mid $60k.

I would have said it was very good value.
but then again I sort of have an idea of what the Defiance Reno cost although I have never added it all up.

Not going to comment on the price, but I now have a case of engine-access-envy. But, where is the engine mounted in Evening Star? SailBoat Data shows an SS30 with the engine under the saloon table, but that does not seem the case from the photos.
