We are merely broadening our options and giving increased incentive for people to learn to tack or gybe properly so the jelly fish don't eat you. Lucky Jeff wears a full length wetsuit or he'd have no legs by now. Brad almost lost a foot yesterday, that'll teach him.

Had a sail with some of the sandstone regulars Jeff was on his new board with an 8.5. John was on his magic ride with a 7 metre. Brent was on his techno weather 7.2. I went out on my Go with a 7.8 and when the wind picked up went to my 140 Nash. I sorted out the problem I was having with the seat harness and the harness lines. A 28 lines suit me best I tried 32 seem to be too long and 26 work when I had a waste harness. Great day everybody have a good day even brent after he hit the rocks and had a few little scrapes and cuts.

20 gusting 25 at the airport!

Not quite as windy as the graphs at Sandstone this arvo but still around 15 knots and ramping up by a few more by the time Adam and I packed up. Adam rigged a 7.8 on his 140L Naish and used that for a bit before switching back to the 150L Go both with big 56cm fins. He was fully powered and hammering. I went the other way and used a 6.1 wave sail for bottom end grunt and the small 44cm fin on the Magic. I was a bit underpowered at first and then making good controllable power when Adam started to get overpowered. The Magic is definitely a more stable board with the big 52cm fin and can be pointed and planed upwind a lot further too so I'll be back using the big fin in future. Some big runs around the nasty oyster reef and out into the bay and also plenty of blasting around in front of the beach, great afternoon sailing Sandstone with conditions about as good as it gets, not too crazy but enough wind to have really good fun.

Sounds great you lucky bugger, some of us are stuck at work dreaming of these beautiful days you speak of.

So Sandstoners, I have had a look at Turners on a flat day, what tides will it be ok in the next few days, where is good to sail in these northerlies, and is anyone going to be there Saturday? (Sorry if I asked before)

You can sail Turner's camp in any tide but high tide is the best time to sail. If you sail low tide you just have to walk out to the sand spit. I will probably be there on Saturday and Sunday just after lunch if there is wind.

OW, there's no way a curry would even make it out the door of this household, let alone make it to a courier company.

PWB, watch this space. I'm out for sunday but I'd be thinking Jeff or Adam or someone would be sailing sunday. Saturday is looking good, dunno if i'll go to Turner's or give Phillip Street a try on the high tide. Either way someone will put something up on here. Turners is good on the high tide because you can sail straight off the beach at the carpark or low tide because the water is really flat and protected but you have to walk and launch from the end of the sand spit. In between when the water is running it can get a bit rough with some compression waves. Philip Street is best on high tides for less walking and any wind from NE through W to SW (offshore/cross shore) if it's much over 12 knots or any wind direction for less than that if you're on a windsup or raceboard or longboard. See you on the weekend if you make it up our way.

Superb blasting day at Phillip Street today. 15+ knots of NNE wind gives cross shore conditions and only a foot or two of chop and swell. I only sailed for an hour but it was without a doubt the best sailing I've had in my 1 year of windsurfing. Just me and the jellyfish again. 7m sail on the Magic today.

I haven't sailed there yet, will have to give it a go soon!

Paddles - I might even make the trip up from the southside. Haven't sailed at Turners Camp yet.

Looks like most are heading out on Saturday. I am tied up all day Saturday but keen for a sail on Sunday. Who else is heading out on Sunday and where?

Turners camp it is then. I was aiming to head out after lunch, but keen for a good long session.
Any other takers. Paddles I know you are out, will have to come pick up that sail one of these days.
