This morning reminded me of the first time a young fella gets to second bass with a very ugly girl. It was great at the time and not something you'd brag about but still non the less, a learning experience

Why is it strange? Sitting on the boot of my car, having a break and checking everything on my phone? I go onto seabreeze on my phone all the time to check the daily surf report.

Secondly...why would I lie about how long I was in the water for? Especially when it was 5hit. I even said in my initial post that I took a break

I find it strange that you need to check the surf report sitting at the beach in between surfing.

why?
Waves were average and I went on to see if I should head back up to Trigg or stay put.

For once agree with ya Suba.....am on my I phone now writing this comment. Not strange at all to long on to seabreeze while at the beach to check what the winds doing an hour south etc IMO.....maybe we are both sea breeze addicts

Its not strange mate, what I find strange is that people give a f*ck that you check your phone or post on seabreeze. I mean who really cares, I think oz surf has a thing for suba

Can't believe the effort that goes into figuring out whether or not suba was on an iphone! Either way, who cares. Suba is like a celebrity, people trying to catch him out. I don't get it.

Download the free Hurley App - that has access to the coastalwatch cams and the relative plugins that allow you to see the footage on your iphone.

Didn't end up bothering. My normal (free)dive buddy was uncontactable so just went for a snorkel out at Mettams. Got to swim with a nice ray for a while so totally worth it
Bloody hell those things are graceful. Actually, while I was swimming a there was a couple of actually decent barrels (wind was perfect) rolling through but where only just over waist height and super shallow reef. A couple rolled in and then no repeat.

But yeah, only going for crabs at the moment. Cray license just expired and can't be bothered renewing. There's enough weekend warriors out there harvesting too many crays so I'm just gonna stick to grabbing crabs out of the river, freediving at night. Then purge them in a SW tank at home.

Didn't happen then
Maybe it was just the heat and desperation for waves

The swimming with rays happened...and really wish I'd had an underwater camera.

Super good vis.
Been in the water everyday for the last week or so I think. Vis has been really good the last few days. Sheltered wind, no swell and good light.
Gonna get a new mask tomorrow as my current one is scratched the 5hit. Will improve my personal vis more so!

But yeah, any of the spots up near trigg and beyond, so far, have had fantastic vis. It's the only thing that makes these flat summer days tolerable...and with my Indo tripped delayed two months it is all I can do to stay sane.
