Yes it can be very boring unless you have a hot swimmer girl in front of you!!
I try and think about being efficient and strong in the water and not slip into sloppy technique... I also try and resolve the problems of the day when I am going up and down, up and down.
And I find a 50m pool much better than 25m - and better again if it is outside. You're probably going to Arena Joondalup - I find that they have that too cold for some reason...
And finally, swimming is never my first choice for exercise - but always feel better once I've done it... helps with the back pains too!!
