And the Maui nutters.

Watching on was a whole generation of kids from Maui, who now have come of age and are making the wave their own - kids like Albee Layer, Kai Lenny and Billy Kemper. A group the movie synopsis describes as "An eclectic group of childhood friends that followed each other into the Jaws lineup as teenagers, and through peer pressure and rivalries, pushed each other to unprecedented performances."

well hopefully picking up that 6.2 flying fish on the weekend.
however its near time to start get customs for a local shaper- again

dropped into sdr today for a chat. after I get some mileage under my feet with the boards I have we will work on a older guys( that's me) hp shortie as opposed to a big guys shortboard

be something' like' a bit longer but will the refinements of the a standard hp. well some extra volume too be not too much

point board and beachie boards - goog and bad/small

its a struggle to fine anything in the shops like this today because the at too short or monster boards. sdr agrees there definitely a gap in the market atm
be looking forward to doing this later in the year

I'm sure you've had this board only to sell it a week later for some reason,I'm sure theres a massive market for shortboards for mature men your age in the 55 plus there is a huge gap in the market, who are you kidding, sounds like another one of your excuses to order a new board, time to come clean.

As for you text message the other day stating your not riding longboards because it messes your short boarding up,you do relies you will need to be surfing TOS and D-bah or the cove at Burleigh.

put two solid sessions in hollow ish beachies. the rights were bottoming out a bit and sectioning off. but lefts had a great shape. you just had to drop in.

to have a semi fish board perform well on lefts on my backhand, I'm rapt. the other stoked factor is the boards own natural speed.

sent 2 boards to the consignment rack due to this board. simplify things a bit

Wow yet another clean out to be replaced at a later date, all good it makes sense to sell other than cleaning wax.

Its got 34 litres in it . But a stock board in the shop has 36.4 litres.

Thats what i believe 36.4

It feels pretty good enough to get waves with out feeling floaty..

Still have to paddle for them

oh gee, um. probably about the same volume. for me the puffer is fun, but this board at 6.2 is way faster and more dynamic. probably the flier and swallow tail do that

like ok drop into a left, line up where you want to go and it well flies without having to do any pumps. that lets you t up your turns.

I'm running large mb fcs so its not loosy feeling but lots of drive/power.

hope that make sense

Thanks Mate. That makes sense. I recently acquired a Puffer 5, which is fast becoming my go to board for everyday conditions. So I'm interested in MR's other shapes and thinking I may order a custom down the track.

Bit the bullet and now have a 6'4" 21 3/8" x 3" Hypto Krypto Used it once so far and seems pretty good, fast drivey, powers out of turns. A little tighter than i was expecting but still adjusting to find good foot positioning. Off to Bali in a couple of weeks to give it a good go so will provide a ride report then.
