He can simply call Grant and ask his opinion. He loves a chat.
Then he'd be able to describe the board model to Grant and Grant will guide him.
Not knowing the planshape (and rocker for wetted planing area) its just a shot in the dark in regard to what the actual surface area is in those dimensions.
One other thing is the rails are likely to be pretty low on a 2&1/4" board so it could be fairly unforgiving.
diversesurf.com.au/volume-shape-technology/
There's a trade off inbetween being able to catch lots of waves and duckdiving. Catching waves kinds wins in most peoples minds I reckon.
I was talking about in the future in regard to board snapping...he's going to progress in what he takes on.
Its all just banter as we haven't seen the pic of the board...could have a hideous hibiscus print on it or something LOL.

Could be right on the hibiscus

One thing I have learned in surfing is if you are not a fantastic surfer who gets to go all the time volume is your best friend!!

...a bit of volume yes and hell why not go a big hibiscus or strategically placed frangipani, the mere sight of which hopefully clears the line-up with its visual stink and allows you a few extra waves...

Sounds like good dims though Mrknownothing.

Jack Coleman's latest film, The Zone, opens next Thursday at the renowned Brunswick Picture House at Brunswick Heads. Features all the surfers you expect in a Coleman film, riding everything but high performance craft, to a reverb-laden soundtrack.

USA Surf media it seems... I was looking at this the other day and that article is not quite the whole list, few lower key Aussies are in it and Lee Wilson is 50% Aussie.

Full list.. live.ripcurl.com/ripcurlcup/surfers/

Hope they get some waves for it..

Derrick Disney??? Is that even a real name???

Styling on a twin fin at Desert Point and Lakeys has never looked easier with Derrick Disney.

The four seasons gig is a good one, I was at pasta a few years back an got to surf with mr curren and taylor knox, leading up to it. Definitely a magic little session.
They shut down sultans for a couple four hour blocks but to watch it from the boat was pretty epic.

I reckon Taj would put on a clinic out there the wave was made for him...

I figure it will allow me to catch plenty of waves if I'm off my game somewhat.
Too bad its not in my clutches yet. Plenty of waves inbound here.
The 8'2" nugget might get a run doing crowd control duties at Noosa.
