Interested in your view of the current market, you have been a buyer and a seller in the last few months so you have seen it from both sides. The current perception is lots of new sailors looking for a first boat, is that what you found or something different?

I obviously haven't read back far enough to come across your earlier boats. Will save that for the next lockdown, so hopefully will never know. You obviously have a good eye for selecting boats that have that something. +1 on your presentation, a buyer will get good vibes that the boat is well looked after and not have to look through the junk and factor in the potential extra expenditure.
Look forward to the next instalment.

Now, this is just crazy cheap. Don't care what the interior is like, someone needs to buy this quick so I don't!

I like the look of this. Perhaps a larger version of my cav 32. I suspect it would cost more than 10k to replace the teak deck and who knows what is under them.

That deck looks like it'd come up a treat with some treatment. Shame to remove it.

Depends on whether it's leaking or not. Looks like the teak is screwed into a fibre glass deck with hundreds of holes. And then if it is leaking there could be a lot structural water damage hidden under all that lining. Then if the deck is cored and rotting.........a lot of risk to take on that a surveyor would find hard to assess.

Still looks like a lovely boat.

Nice Yacht!!! So her real name is Tusitala not Defiance but she certainly has the defiance ethic about her and a very good example in fiber glass. There is only one "Defiance" and lydia is looking after her.

I would be busting the price plenty. A set of squabs for the cabin could cost $5k for quality comfort.

The Bukh probably needs some boat bucks and the way I see it regarding universal joints on drive shafts, the one connecting the engine to the prop shaft is 90 degrees out. Hopefully this has not flogged out the stern gland, stern bearing or P bracket.

Might be worth it to somebody to race on Sydney Harbour but I reckon she needs $10k or more spent before cruising off shore.

IOR stands for International Offshore Rule and there is no way she complies to any offshore rule currently.

Thanks for the notes of concern for my health, I can assure you I am in perfect health. I have bought the SS34 that I mentioned above that I hoped one of you would buy! It was a deal I could not refuse.
Ramona was built in 1979 by Lloyd Northam who was Geoff Bakers foreman and took over construction after his death.

Very well done!, you posted it up to give everyone a chance, enjoy.

Romona why was it so cheap is it damaged ?

I think it had a rotten teak/ply deck and associated fresh water damage on the inside.
