It feels like a month since I bought the Laurie Davidson 32 Spindrift.
Now on my mooring in Bundeena.
Still early days but I believe she is the 'one'.
Went out on Sunday with forecast 15 to 20 knots or more. I was very impressed with how smoothly she moved through the three metre waves. My limited understanding is a benefit of the monohull and skew hung rudder.
These boats also have reputation for pointing high. Still I was pleased when one of my friends commented along these lines.
Another joy was her speed. With minimal headsail and reefed main we still reached 5.5 knots and it feels like there is 7 there in different conditions and more sails area.
I am getting accustomed to the dodger and its benefits so no intention of changing that at the moment.
I few repairs and impovements are planned.
Cheers to all who offered advice and good wishes.
John
Ps My Swanson 28 is nearly ready to go on the market
Put some more photos up! Very jealous.
my cheap cav 32 sails brilliantly but has some drawback. Terrible interior. No furling headsail. No wind vane (although I have one on my balcony to install). No dodger.
