Sounds great, love to get a report on the new fins

Not a great day for wind, but did have some run's particularly at the end when the wind started coming in and I had to go home for school pickup. The fin's are great. Spent the most time on the Weed Deemon and very impressed, though I really wanted to stay longer to do some tuning. I need to pull the mast track back a lot I think, and more down-haul to lift the nose.
Can't wait to have another go because it has plenty of drive, doesn't spin out, and powers through the lull's, and feel's like it will be faster. The Raptor 52cm was awesome, although I had only limited time on it and also tuning needed. As was marketed, it had great early planing, trim was noticeably different (again - more tuning needed), and amazing directional stability is the best way I can think to explain it. There is something about it that I can't wait to explore properly. Unfortunately no sailing for me until after the weekend now, so I guess that was all just a tease, so far.

Yeah mate, would I be right saying lift it to put harness lines between your feet, pull the mast track back a little, and crank the downhaul more to lift the nose? I have absolutely no experience what so ever with weed fin's. I see you ripping around on yours, and I'm determined to be free from weed, and shallow water when advantageous. There must be a difference between these fin's and delta's, being that these fin's really do put the center of lateral resistance further aft. I can tell these fin's are obviously great and I can't wait to have a proper go at tuning on them. Let me know if I'm on the right track.

Yep, they just glide along so effortlessly Pete and sneak onto the plane in the gusts, I was only using that 6.1m wave sail too. Lots of fun and best of all they go nice and shallow with only a 10 inch fin and a kicked back centreboard. I'm too used to my short board though, I tack and then look for the non-existent straps with my feet . I'm going back down for another go tomorrow I reckon, that was too much fun.

Went for a sail today at Sandstone Point lots of mullet in the water and I saw a massive shark pretty sure it was a tiger. It was within a metre of my board. I nearly ran it over then Brad and me got out of there as soon as possible. I won't be seiling there the rest of the week. Hopefully the mullet move on and so does the shark.

I could have done without knowing that. Bugger!

Where's Jeff when you need a decoy to keep the noah's from eating you? He spends heaps of time in the water in his all black, full body seal costume, surely they'd get distracted and eat him instead of trying to catch the rest of us

Don't mind standing in the water as a decoy - hope I don't end up floating in the water!
