Yeah, I love the softness of the new scrim Sailworks is putting in the top 5 head panels (yellow material). I have a couple Revos with it. I think it might not crease much like the old X-ply does. I guess we'll see, over time.

Just arrived 42 Atomic fin from Martin Love ,a really nice finish on them ,fits straight up into my 120 Patrik FRace .blowing tomorrow love it .

What size sail do you use with it? I've got a 37 zulu ikwala ( 75% carbon) for a 7.0 racingblade on my frace 120 and it got plenty lift. Maybe I'd add 1cm if I were to use a bigger sail, but that woulf be it.
Before I used a select s1 (g10) 37, but that was a bit to short to make the most of the low end

Finally bit the bullet and bought carbon booms to see what all the fuss is about. Now just need to YouTube how the adjustable thingy works on the big one..

Um, and also the booms didn't come in that box, couldn't resist a used board and sail that came up last weekend on a shop website. And, um, I might have ordered a new 2020 board that is a few weeks away.

Found these second hand in
great condition.

Sailworks Revo (circa 2008) and a matching 400 cm Backbone mast.
Bought them separately and was fortunate to find them both in like new condition. The Revo is badged as a 4.2, but the dimensions correspond to a 4.0. Haven't got them wet yet, waiting for high winds.

Future Fly Flying Camel 145 and a Sailloft 7.4m Ultimate Foil Slalom sail. The Camel is a great foil platform, especially for slalom, but it works fine for some course racing as well. There was an immediate improvement over the Fanatic Falcon I was using before.The sail is working great on both foil and fin, which is what I was hoping. I like to keep the gear to a minimum, so having one sail that I use from 8-20 knots is a huge bonus and this one is perfect for me in that range. It's happy on my 145 foil board, and 130 and 107 slalom boards.

Of course, once you spend the money on a nice board and sail, the next thing you realise is your foils are too slow

Older JP X-Cite Ride 120l

It's closer to the right shortboard side for someone I'm helping learn, and it was really inexpensive. Stepped on it the first time yesterday with my 7.5 Gator and got flying right away. Very easy and fun to ride and got some goofy slow exit carve jibes (only ones I currently get) and even tacked it.

Easier to shlogg and get planing than my 115l Dyno. And that makes 2 older JP boards I own now, this one and my 102FSW. Both of which were best bang for the buck I've found.

Hoping to go out in heavier chop with this than my 145 Blast until I decide to get a newer freerace board around 110l or so that'll still hold an 8.0 and fly hard on the fin.

Those older Xcite rides are a great board , better than the newer ones . Solid , well made , user friendly and plane earlier than the newer wider model .

Is it partially due to the length or something else? A lot more nose volume, much more easy to tack than the dyno 115 which looks at least a foot shorter.

Also I suppose the vee in the dyno vs the flat bottom on the x-cite with a center channel, which I don't understand.

Yep , the length and longer flatter rocker line . I've owned a couple sizes in that model . Bought the newer model to replace one and after a dozen rides did not like it as much . So sold it and kept the older one .

I bought that size and model when I got back into windsurfing after a 15 year hiatus, they were promoted as plug and play and I agree thy were a really user friendly board. The other board I have owned that was similar in user friendliness is the tabou rocket, just jump on and go.

Would be good if everyone posted the prices that were paid for this gear.

Any reasons that it is a secret?

AFS S670 cm2 70 cm wide wing (aka F700S), makes 20-25+ knots in 2-3+ foot waves relatively easy! Bruce at Sailworks gave me a deal on it, was their last one.

Picked up 2nd hand, can teach people, sail in 5kts & want to try overnight camping trips.

Just starting back after a 25 year break. Definitely harder than I was expecting
