a bit of digging will show that KA has team riders all over the world using the gear in a huge variety of conditions and commenting on it.

I went to visit Ka once and spoke to them in person. I asked a guy working there where do you test yours sails he told me just at Ricketts point. They do let guys demo there gear around the world, but this guy was saying the main testing is done at there local beach up the road at Ricketts.

Next time your in melbourne drop by Gestalt and have a chat to them, there a great bunch of guys and will let you demo there sails.

Jerry, It,s probably me you are refering too, can't say I recall saying we only test at Ricketts, there's Team sailors all around the world giving us input. I sail there alot though as i have lived in Beaumaris/Sandringham all my life and am still 5 minutes up the road.
The first time proto's hit the water is generally at Ricketts as AMAC is literally just around the corner. We rush down with the new sails like excited 8 year olds with new toys, it,s a bit sad really to see two 50 + men behave this way!
It,s a good spot with a great crew of regulars. I have sailed there for 40 years, I joined Beaumaris Yacht Club when I was 10. Pretty sure myself and a bunch of Yacht Club mates and maybe AMAC where the first guy's to ever windsurf there. AMAC was the young wild Moth sailor back then and he is still at it currently in Dubai running 3rd in the World Championships.

No worries Sue. You seem so increadibly passionate about getting back into Windsurfing but appeared to be struggling on an older style cammed sail. I had that 08 Koncept in my trailer and it wasn't being used so it seemed pretty obvious to me that I should offer it to you. I really hope you enjoy it.
I don't want to put any pressure on you though but that sail has done 42+ knots! Ha!!!

Dunno which is better, the s### fight or that any topic about sails on this site has to contain some BS about KA from the groupies

It takes sufficient Mojo to blast above 35 knots, loose leech notwithstanding, though I concede you may just hurtle past with your wet army blanket rigged on a galvanised drainpipe! (Oooh I do so admire you )

what happens if you dont want the leach to open up you are stuffed

when i started i had one sail one mast one boom and a large surf board screwed the mast step on added some foot straps and i had fun and it was never windy enough you guys wont go out unless you have hair products on

Sorry Windsuffering, but I don't see the point that you are making. If you wish to use a single rig then do so. Most others it seems do not!

Most of us are a little conservative and mistrust change, but it's pointless to take things to extremes. When loose leech sails were introduced I remember falling about laughing at the sight of a Pryde sail so downhauled that the top was flapping almost at right angles to the rest of the sail!

It looked absurd but, as ever, any new concept will be taken to extremes at first introduction, before settling back to a genuine level of progress. (Teardrop boards were a further example, though cutaway sails were a dead end.)

Sails are now so tuned that I still maintain the bottom end of a good twist leech sail is little inferior to that of a tight leeched sail PROVIDED you rig a little bigger! That is no contradiction to me since it will feel lighter in the hands, and have a far superior top end.

sailing up wind pointing high a gust comes the leach area opens up sail area decreasing and your telling me i am going faster . The sail has more power than a tight leach. i suggest you experts learn to sail up wind
