well I'm at home looking after a sick kid, stupidly went and got the paper/surf check. Bring on 3.30, hoping the wind doesn't ruin what is a perfect swell for a couple of my fave spots. Hey Suba, which hand has the broken fingers

Busted my right hand playing rugby weeks ago. Anyhoo, having coffee and watching the circus at the tearooms ;-)
Even ST had a wave, but nothing exciting.
Might take the beach bunny for a lb sesh at the dingo.

just out of interest Mac, where you live are SUP's and LB's at every break or do you have specific spots that are 100% LB and SUP? It's been a long time since I surfed over there, SUP's didn't exist and LB's were few and far between. Over here (metro) there are a couple of well known haunts where the wave just doesn't suit SB's,boogers and kneelos, is that case where you are?

Metoms today had about 7 Sup's out. A few lb's and one or two SB.

Trigg had clumps of about 20 to 30 or so and even a few Supers down near Contacios

Saw a collision at the weekend between a SUP'er and a SBoarder at a not so secret beach break south of the river.

Funny thing was the SB was in a heat at a local boardriders comp and just pulled into a nice right, SUP'er caught the same wave and took the left straight into the comp area and bang!

Anyone hurt?

I came back to WA last year for a holiday for the first time in a couple of years, after growing up in the SW.
Unfortunatly I am limited to the places I can surf, because I have a couple of little grommets and a hire car, it more or less leaves Yallingup as the perfect destination, playground for the kids, cafe to get ice creams, etc etc.
But the main break is now compleatly ruined because of the sheer numbers of fat middle aged SUPérs paddling around, no idea of etique, getting caught inside by the odd clean up set and diving as if their life depended on it, 10ft of fiberglass flying away uncontrolled.
Trying to sit a little inside and sneak a few is taking your life in your hands, and the waves I got I ended up getting faded by a 666 anyhow.
This was not a baby day either, not that Yalls is a nasty wave, but it was still double head.
I will never resort to riding one and will dis-own my children if they take it up

Yeah I know its changed down there, not for the better either. Its a shame really, the play ground of my youth has disappeared up its own arse, trying to become a west coast noosa.
Any of you guys on SUP's reading this, I know you can catch any wave you want, but you really don't have to prove it to everyone.

Over here in Europe they are only using SUP's on flat water, lakes and places like that, you don't see many in the water when there is waves. I guess it will come eventually, although the locals are pretty fierce about telling them to bugger off when they turn up.
