Lacey for those who don't know has spent more time in the R&D room than anyone I've ever known,so some respect is warranted here please.
My take is ride what suites the conditions and your ability.I'm not going to rave on about my history of surfing.But I see shortboarders pumping jumping up and down to make a section or get more speed in small waves,if they rode a bigger board even a longboard they could still do cutties hacks floaters on a 9 foot high performance longboard.I'm not against shortboarding if I was 3 ks lighter I would still be riding one,my son rips and is a sticker boy.
