i surfed the local. fairly clean 2-3ft again...with some biggers ones every 20 mins that would clean the line up... was only person on a longboard today. the clearwater HIGH PERFORMACE board was at its best. got sick of turtle rolling at times yet my session was ended after an hour . a shorty caught a 4ftr that started to close out,he went for a huge mofo of an air and ended up in the flats.
massive snap sound and i laughed...till i heard this god awful scream...it was not his board but a compound fracture to his thigh bone so for all the rude and uneducated people in the water....not today,20 crew were on it straight up. credit to all as there was sets rolling and whitewater everywhere. hope your drugged up and getting some doctors buddy. freaked me out and i went home.

Good work Chrispy! At least your leg is all good now.

are you kidding Chrispy would have fainted if he sure the broken leg.

mate it freaked me right out. i am still trying to work out how it was not a ankle,shin or knee. not the thickest bone in his body. the sound was unbelievable. the screams brought it to reality though

I surfed at a semi-secret location (well in the old days anyway ) but its one I will refrain from naming but lets just say its not far from my place (hereafter referred to as Teds fav spot)! Some fun 2 footers with a few 3's every now and again. The swell was pretty weak but the cross offshore provided some nice sections to play with if you got a good one. On the whole it was a joy to actually get wet and get some fun ones under the belt before the long w/e away. No Pics as its a secret and its a very long walk from where I park my car to where I surf (like 10 + mins).

LM, GM 1 foot slop on a Tufflite MCT first time I have ever surfed a tufflite weird feeling didnt seem to have any glide paddling in but up and running it was fun I need a new board badly

Metams with 60 close friends..some fun waves.

surfed head high and a bit bigger on the sets. very uneven and hard to pick the peaks. lots of water moving around. got a dozen good ones and got out after i scored a cracker. tomorrow is looking way better...i hope

I hear ya Stuk - 2 to 3 ft perfection 40 mins south of you...lovely shape but an equally lovely sized pack.....managed to get my share though so no drama....watched some lovely waves ruined by people dropping in though

Hmmmm thats a bit bigger than we got could be a goer tomorrow if its the southerly making its way north.

local this morning 6 - 8am. Not bad but a bit wind affected, jumped the key whole 3 times & got set wave each time, sorry if I snaked anyone but not many faces I recognise.

Walked outside about 11.45 ready to mow lawns & do weeding - whataknow its gone offshore as predicted.

Tide on way out, offshore, head high & bit bigger on sets with less than half the crowd of this morning. Why would I go anywhere???

2 Coronas down about to listen to footy on radio.

Very similar,went around 7.30 blown out sh1t,did a few things came home,looked at the cams and went back,massive crowd,snapper,rainbow and the g and glassy shoulder to above head high,I took the evo/ufo out been a while since I've surfed that one all good.I was lucky to survive a rouge race ski coming towards me side ways in the white water I had only one option bail and duck the thing went right over the top on me and board,I gave the guy a spray as he was checking his ski for dings,I said fk you and your ski what about the people it cleaned up,he gave me a dumb look so Ii told him to fk off,gave him the bird,should seen the look on his facePhotos to come.

Glad to hear Chrispy's legs are OK, Mine are shaged Rode 100 k's this morning on me pushy. From 1 end of the sunny coast to the other and some. 3 hrs + 40 mins at an average of 27 k's an hour. But just had a walk up the beach and Wooo Hooo the swell has kicked a little and just found a few new banks for the morning.

Been flat out up in the big city upgrading my med skills for the last 3 weeks...was great to get a few small fun ones this morning. Its amazing how quickly your arms get rusty when you've been out of the water though. Really need to get in shape asap, coz we're heading over to Bali in 3 weeks
