Yep, I hate it when people abandon their sunken boats with all the polluting crap that goes with them, the government should sting them for the recovery costs. I don't know the details about this one but there were a few abandoned boats sunken in the river here for ages and the tax payer had to fork out to get them removed in quite a big operation with barges, excavators, trucks etc. it would have cost a fortune.

That could be a sad story that one. Could have been a sea cock/valve left on accidentally, and a hose has leaked.
That was a nice boat. Still worth something, unlike the other's that have been left for dead. Wonder if it was insured.

Spoke to the "Old Man" today. He told me his mate was approached to re-float her, but too big for him.
Not insured. It had apparently been let go a bit. Nice old plank boat though. Shame.

Caught up with Parso and the kiters and had a fun couple of hours on the WindSUP yesterday at Sandstone. Pretty ordinary wind conditions with it dropping out to less than 5kn by 1pm when I got out of the water, but the tide was pretty low by then anyway. Jeff eventually dragged himself out of bed to score 20mins of sailing before the wind and tide dropped to make it unsailable. I had to be home by 2:30 so couldn't do the late arvo shift at Bongaree but it sounds like Adam, John and Dags got enough wind to be up and going on short boards with big sails.

Yeah, bit ordinary compared to you blokes but put some up hoping I can start to see some improvement. Couple of hours today in good conditions for learners trying your tips over longer runs. Next opportunity I want to focus on tacking as opposed to current technique of falling in to turn around!

Work on getting yourself into using the harness a bit more too Parso, it'll more than double your sailing time before getting worn out and you'll never look back.

Great advice! No harness today & came home to fall asleep on the lounge for 2 hours!
