Solar mins have their greatest impact over the winter months, usually exhibiting long cold protracted winters, heavy snows, prolonged sub zero temps.
Last winter over here in the UK was a taster, a precursor of what's to come.
Gone now are the milder winters of the 90's and 2000's with a predominant Sw flow and mild atlantic maritime winds with a regular run of winter storms.
What we have to look forward to is blocking highs and arctic / siberian wind flows.
