Cheap at twice the price. Can't beat local knowledge.

Coastalwatch is terrible down here. I use the weather on here and swellnet.
Our local news also has good wind and swell charts which are really helpful. Think they are from the BOM.

Buggger. Snapping a board sucks. Especially if they are a good one.

My surf today was kinda like being lost at sea for an hour. No real banks, weird swell direction and a light onshore made it hard to find a decent one. Managed a few and jammed a lovely turn in the shorey so called it a day.

Looks like more swell later in the week. Hopefully the wind doesn't ruin it.

Yep real sweet & sour experience. I was planning on getting a summer log, but now chasing either a summer log or a performance board. Would generally prefer a performance longboard, but given its mid Nov I'm happy to go either way. There were some great deals around last weekend I was showing a mate who bought a new board. Unfortunately most within my budget sold. Sux losing a board, buying something diff is always exciting...sweet n sour

Nothing beats having a look with your own eyes, cams are not good at depicting size etc... A couple of weeks ago I thought it was cranking, I raced down there & the waves were only just over waist high....the 2 people in the water were a couple of short ass primary school hot rats

It's seen plenty of waves but rides nicely..when the rider is tuned in properly

that looks unreal SB. love Tolhurst's boards. it's been rubbish down here the last few days so just been keeping fit and paddling the river. Lots of fish around. Will have to get the fly rod out. Wish the surf would improve. I'm on an 8 day break

Agree that Nothing beats looking yourself but i don't really use them for that. I looked 3times a day for 25 years so pretty easy to make a good guess what it's like today or I just ring Dad to check.

I use them if I want to know what it will be like in a few days or what my favourite waves 2hrs away might be like. Heaps better then reading a synoptic chart like we used to.



With the modellling stuff Guess it comes down to how good the model is and here swellnet ****s on Coastal watch for accuracy.

it's called infanticide, and even we humans have done it for millennia, the worse kind is called 'sex selective infanticide' , and with todays technology (Ultrasound) there are some places in the world where it is still practiced today. So if a child's sex is wrong, they need never even be born

But you can even experience a strange form of it in your own workplace or even in a sporting team, where a new dominant leader is appointed to replace a previously much loved and successful team leader

How many time have you seen it happen that the new leader wants to completely purge the virtual DNA of the old leader and replace it with their own

That would be great mate, not sure if there will be waves or I'll be able to surf but coffee sounds good
