The ocean today was the nicest it had been in my 8 day northern sojourn. It was cracking. And I drove for seven hours. I took the inland route so I didn't have to stare at the ocean.

NOW my surfing holidays begin.

Back in Oz for a while. No more surf for me unless it's cranking, mid week and no work commitments.....the probability of all three combining are low. So looks like the board will gather dust. If it looks worthy I may shoot down smh's way one day. Otherwise I will just froth on the last month of amazing stuff and what lies ahead from Feb. reasonable chance will spend some time in Melb so Tux n Simondo may get a visit if things line up.

Hoax . Nothing like 3 ft. Barely 2 and fat and a bit sectiony.

After 4 days in the shortie my first bottom turn I fell off the side.
Took a couple to adjust.
3 wide lm and step off at gm then walk back waves.

With this rain m bay might not be on.

Doesn't look like mbay is happening

Ill find another wave.

Dbar was a favorite wave of mine that I have surf countless times.

However like a lot of other surfers im not going to surf a really crowded beach break anymore

The idea of a beachie is mainly no crowds.

Surfed at Palmy with a mate of mine the last 2 mornings. Small, soft and hideously crowded. 2 days in a row I did a few laps of Burleigh trying to get a carpark to no avail.
Surfed a Burleigh beachbreak at lunch time today with a bit of size and push which was a welcome relief.
Drove home and went past Alex. Had to chuckle at the dribble on offer.
