Well it must be said that its been a dam good run for a very long time. This year will be our last chance to grab another title for a while. Seems its official now that the salary cap has claimed another victim. Its been lots of good times and its not really the end of the world because its not like we will take 40 plus years to win another title like some others

Check out the mid part of the table. Some real shocks here I imagine for most given what people thought at the start of the season and where we are now. Roosters and Rabbits have done extremely poorly in my humble opinion - Tigers and St George have out performed. Warriors and Storm are about where I thought. Parra are the main disapprovers of the Ricky Stewart show. The last few weeks have seen some really interesting results - lets hope Canberra is not one of them tom night.

Ricky Stuart seems to have an amazing ability to coach the basic skills out of his players. It's incredible to watch.

Weiry Weiry Weiry - you may think being second on the ladder is a good result at this stage of the season - I would agree with you on the face of it - but it does not change my view of how disappointing your team has been. I think your position says as much about the draw you have had so far and the poor form of others as opposed to your good form. Lets take a look in a bit more detail.

R2 - lose to Manly
R3 - lose to Tigers
R4 - lose to Raiders ! How embarrassing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
R7 - lose to Doggies
R10 - lose to Storm
R16 - lose to Cowboys
R17 - lose to Titians

Lets look at the top of the table now







The only teams around you that you beaten this year are the Roosters in game one who were dreadful - probably the worse game of the year they have played (and they have played some shockers) and The Panthers - in R6 who were still yet to find their feet (and whose table position is inflated by their draw) and the Bronocs in a very very close one.

Coming home you have Knights, Manly, Broncos, Cowboys, Bulldogs and Roosters.

So at this stage of the season you have failed to show any dominance against the top 8 sides and you now play 5 of them in your next 6 games. I stand by my belief that your team has been poor so far this year. If they can turn things around against the top sides over the next 6 weeks then I will call it a good season. But only then. Yes you will make the finals - but at this stage you have shown little to scare any of the other teams that will also make it.
