Don't want to appear cheeky, but I could not find any images of the top brands' SUP's with toes on the nose...
Have you?
Thanks

In my humble opinion I think dedicated nose riders should not be too light. We made a few carbon/honeycomb runways using 15kg/m3 blanks and I found them flighty and fun but once there was chop in the water they felt every bump and nose riding became a chore. For our 10 foot runway we ended up using a more solid blank and ran PVC deck and rail and reinforced the rails with silver carbon. Although these boards are dedicated nose riders they still turn on a dime. We just got some fun runners at Kirra and this board came into its own in small 1 - 2 foot waves. I'll post the clip soon once we finish it. Ultimate weight for me in these boards is around 9 - 10 kgs for a 10 foot nose rider. My original Takiyama is 8kgs and its 9'2. Hope this makes sense.
