Hi Colas. I see the top board in the picture is using the smaller kitesurf stabiliser. Do you know if this has much effect? I have a Gong Allvator 80cm + a 100cm on order and have been thinking of trying this.

It decreases the stability, so turning and pumping becomes easier and more radical.
I'd advise to sand the rear corners of the kite stabs to round them a bit for safety, they are very sharp.

I bought one (it is a cheap way to try new things), but did not try it yet.

The Gong XXL seems to be a cheap alternative for the Gofoil Maliko 280..
When will it be available ?

The first batch has been pre-sold in mere hours, but you can register to be emailed when they become available again.

For more info, see the Gong foil dedicated topic www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/Foiling/The-Gong-Allvator-SUP-Surf-foil?page=2#2311824

I ordered the complete XXL foil and a 45 cm mast for shallow water...

Lets see how long it will take.

Good choice. I have recently got a 45cm mast from Gong. Its great for small, shallow waves. Think it will be a good combo with the big wing and allow more water time.

......I have done research on them and they apparently have the same glass content as the Chinook strong boxes 30% resin . ...

Definitely not the same glass fill content.

It's plain as day when you sand both boxes.

Futures boxes sand super easy, like any plastic does with none or nearly no glass fill.

Chinook is a bitch to sand. You need the extra hard sanding pad, plus 60 grit to even have a chance of sanding it flush.

The sander exposes the truth.

id love to use futures boxes, but I'll wait until more are installed before going the easy way.

Done around 50 so far and still haven't had one fail even went guys hit weed and bend the mast ! Board didn't even crack or stress marks in the glass matting and carbon
