So our taxes just paid for an emergency air lift to Perth, surgery costs, ambulance charges for the second surfer attacked, and the cancelation of the MR pro. Then people start demanding we cull sharks to stop attacks..
Honestly lets just accept that you can't stop stupid
Bit of a low blow given that every single day our tax $$ are wasted on junky deadbeats who keep breeding, politicians using our money to pay for holidays and all sorts in between.
It's black and white. If we continue to protect them, numbers will skyrocket and they will thrive around the southwest where they have 8 or 9 months of plentiful food. Unless proper action is taken (a cull, netting most of the populated coastline, popular surfspots etc) then your grandkids in 30years time wont even need a sign at the beach as attacks will be a monthly or weekly occurence.
Honestly, what would you do if a 2m dugite came into your yard or house and started getting aggresive? Would you put a sign up advising customers or your kids to stay away or would you get the shovel out and eliminate the threat, regardless if its protected or not!
What about a spider? Both are animals just doing what they do but i bet you have no issues killing one when your mrs gets upset there is one inside?
