50 year old guy a mechanic two doors down from me.
I talked to him four days ago for 20 minutes.
Was driving his mates motorbike at work - a one off and he came off.
His left arm had to be sewn back on. His left leg is a lot,lot worse than mine.
It was in a vice or calliper. He said tests will come back Tuesday.
Either he loses the leg completely,or it is reconstructed or damage is not as great as first prognosis.
Anyway, I wheeled past his room tonight on my wheelchair and stopped in to say hullo etc.
His spirits had dropped alarmingly not wanting to engage in any conversation.
I thought the worst but a nurse told me later he still has a decent chance of saving it.
I am starting to think I was lucky now. It could have been so much worse.
I get out tomorrow. After spending 20 days in hospitals I have found a fantastic appreciation for home.
And for good health.
Have you found a good appreciation for the anaesthetics and analgesics and antibiotics the big pharma companies make?
