I have the straps set far more open for waveriding. That was my on-shore boards on a total on-shore day...

Don't worry about your straps, so long as you can get the board to do what you want.
When I have mine tight, my feet really get stuck like they'd snap, while more open they have a greater range of motion which helps me do different things (jump, surf, head upwind, etc.) But a friend of mine has his really tight and does backloops, shove-its, and some surf (although I haven't seen him hit the lip).

Look at these unusual shots from the clew-view:

I made a mount that comes off the end of the boom out of an old mast. The is an awesome angle for critiquing yourself. I dump 50% of my gybes well maybe 60% but no more...i am improving, you must believe me.

Anyhow from this angle with the gopro as Manuel demonstrated i can see the errors i'm making with my hand work and foot work. Not only that i'm able to see where i completely screw up when trying my forward loops. Yes i'm going to pull off a full forward just to stick it up my mate who can do everything else better than me but can't do forwards. I'm halfway there

Anyhow my point being, if you want to improve some part of you windsurfing or brag to your mates you should set up an-end-of-boom mount. It's worth the hassle of set up, which is nothing. Very easy actually.

Thanks Manuel

After seeing Gmitton's setup I ordered a clew view unit as well.
Must say I really like this angle.
Thinking I might try to get the camera even further away from the sail next time.

Getting one consistent problem I do not get with camera else where. Fogging. Have Hero 4. Used different cases. Have used an anti fog insert and same result. Always checking seals before closing. Always load in cool, dry place. Have no problem when mounting elsewhere. Any advice?

I sure do. Cut open two silica gel packets, grind the little balls into dust, glue back the packets to about 1/3 to 1/2 size so that they can fit inside the housing (wherever), they must be slim so only a small amount of dust is needed.
Place them on the stove at their lowest temp for a few minutes to dry them out before each session.
I haven't gotten anymore fogging. I even had to open the housing right before sailing (card issue) and got no fogging but it's important the packets are dry so if you don't sail for a few days you'll have to re-dry them.

Is this not the same as the anti fog inserts I use?
