13 sailors out at Bell Buoy not sure how many at Lagoons....maybe 15 or more?

Great day........... only one real disappointment of the day was Greenie.............. in spite of all his verbal abuse he didn't get one forward..................... Clarky you must be so frustrated with your little mate......................we are

Rob Lakin didn't pull off a forward but pretty sure he pulled his cruciate ligament

I think I saw and heard Rob win 'Damage of the Day'. I thought he was pulling off some weird freestyle move - board upside down but feet in straps, whilst getting whitewashed - worth a try I suppose.
Then it turned into a sort of Australian Idol / cat strangling vocal performance, but even more excrutiating (believe it or not) - EX-cruciting it certainly was!
Sorry Rob - commiserations. Clearly no one else gives a cats...

Yep. Great pic Gill. I actually have a few favourites but the clarity and depth of colour in all of them stands out Who's featuring? Is Geoff on the blue blade, you have the red helmet on another blade? Luka is there. Houston is on....

OMS - since no one else appears game, let me give it a go:

Me
Greenie
Mitch
Felix
Murphy
Luka
Lachy
Tristan - for one run until his mast snapped - he is 'Crowd Scrounging' some replacement gear an SDM and a Boom if anyone has any
Al
Gil
Rob - The Limp
Houston - The Flaccid
Damo
Jez
Captain Morgan in support
+ 2 kiters - Wil and Reuben

If I have forgotten anyone - sorry - you can't have been doing anything worth remembering. Ant who?

Not too bad for a completely crap day.

A straight NW at Bell buoy is never going to be the best conditions particularly as the wind had some lighter moments which could cause issues if you were caught in front of the bigger lumps of foam. The big upside is that you are never far from the action as you sailed down the beach, there was always someone trying some move or swimming after their gear close by. My favourite moments were seeing Gclarke go for a giant back loop a few metres away. As always he gave it %300 effort and had already completed the loop as he hit the apex of the jump, he was then flung from his "space craft" ( like Sandra Bullock in the film Gravity) unfortunately there was no George Clooney with a jet pack to navigate him back to his ship and he had to "space walk" some distance before he was inexorably drawn back to "earth" . I also saw a huge stalled forward from Felix (no space walking there)!

Al why not talk about Greenie? You scared or something? Well I don blame ya e's and agwressive little sh.t. If you really want to get him worked up just tell him he can't loop for sh.t................................ then watch him go...................loop loop loop.................then he trundles back and says "well what da ya think o that?".....................then you just say "I wasn't looking"...........then he really spits it and starts pulling off doubles

Hey there Antman, Greenie is the most chilled out dude I know( well probably the second most chilled out)......I think you may have your jeans on to tight....it can restrict blood flow to the brain.

Great to see this thread and the photos! brings back some memories. I used to sail regularly at Low Head 20 years ago on a Zot, completely out of control.
Great spot
