but

a message to developers;

please - don't do it anywhere that will have an impact on any water sports and please don't create more sunless afternoons for nearby parks or beaches

preferably - reclaim some pre-developed land away from water, beaches, parks and residential areas, at your own cost

or - build it on some low value land, like near the m1. Everyone driving past will get to see it (just as you want) and it's easily accessible to the public


build it near zupps group.. build it near logan... these areas would wet their pants in uncontrollable excitement knowing something like the sunland development will be built near their investments

Everytime a new building goes up in Surfers it affects this area, this will be another fly in the ointment. If it it blew 30+knots all of the time may not be an issue ;-) The Jewel Towers further down Surfers are going to affect the Southerlies as well no doubt.

I faced the compass on Google Earth to head NW (so I could plot a straight line for SE wind) to show the effect on the wind. The bottom line represents a path of SE wind (toward Loders Creek) and the top line S direction heading toward Shearwater. A swinging wind line from S-SE would be affected by the towers but by how much? We might be learning freestyle moves whether we like it or not from the swirly winds!
