Who's sailing where in the southerly on Saturday?

I am wondering if Saturday is going to be one of those days where the swell makes it into dolls point. Anyone know how big the swell needs to get before we get this - www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/New-South-Wales/Dolls-Point-6-June/

Wind will be too strong for my skills, still looking for less windy places on saturday

Hey there benyip windsurfing is one of those things that you have to experience the extremes and push the envelope to really improve your skills however you must always do that with your safety first in mind so to try yourself in strong winds it would be best to do it in onshore wind where the water is not deep so if you get into trouble you can always walk back to your launch area. Primbee in a westerly is probably the perfect spot for these conditions and there is nearly always someone there to help you out. Please feel free to contact me if you feel you want to come down and give it a try and I could be there to help you out. Good luck with your windsurfing and never give up.

Probably the safest would be Narrabeen lakes, the Northern carpark. Wind would be gusty, but onshore and small waves. Or you could try George's river, south end of Botany bay, launching near the sailing club, you could sail parallel to the shore, but waves would be bigger

Good on you benyip keep up the good work. I know that the stronger wind will be a struggle but it will help you with your skills improvement. Remember that persistence is the key that unlocks the barriers that will hold you back.

Mudskipper was on 6.7m and underpowered,so thats us maxed out on 5.5m.

I'll be at Canton for the day. At least till the body holds out anyway. I watched a guy head out at 5.10pm yesterday. Talk about keen! hope he had a good couple of runs till it got dark. See you on the water. Fast and bumpy.

Where was the camera when it wasn't on the mast tip at start of the boom?
I borrowed Rus's headcam last sail.First time I started I smashed the mast down on it..It happened about 5 x so I hope it survived! Probably pushed the camera so it faced the water.. Pity as I got a few good runs.
Made me realise how little space is between me and the mast beachstarting - lucky I wear a helmet!
