Hmmm..... O.....kaaaay........, but Knowledge of Results is still 22.5 knots.

OK. OK. I get it. You just want to Anal-ize it more. No worries. If that what you like to do. [}:)]

So what are the best tack alphas? I wouldn't be surprised if you strapped a gps tp a good freestyler and carefully explained the plan, that, after a couple of weeks experimentation, and lots of falling in, they'd produce a very very good one.

What's the name of that move where they crank hard up into the wind, and at about 15 knots of board speed, throw the sail forward and sort of vault it on a cushion of air, come back down on the other tack fully powered? That's got to give them a much better return angle on the proximity circle. (I think there's also a spinny thing needs to be thrown in somewhere).

I wish I could claim that my tacking alphas were as spectacular as that, but alas it's just that my gybes are so bad!
