Sean, let me put it this way. I wouldn't say it's not cool- it sure looks to be a spectacle, and something when you get to see ye gods of windsurfing up close. That's cool. But it seems to be almost so removed from the real windsurfing experience that it's just a novelty.

Would I go and see such an event if it was in town? Probably, but only if it was blowing less than 18kts.

It seems amazing to me that the PWA can organise an indoor windsurfing contest, something not seen for a lot of years and yet struggles to organise wave contests in epic locations. Its great to see the return of Hookipa but look at the amazing locations the AWT competes in. Its great to see the PWA in Poland and I am sure the contest will have a great arena feel but its hard to believe that points gained will count towards the world wavesailing title though with it being an exhibition then maybe its just money and no points.





The Ams scored some Ok waves in Mexico last week on the AWT.

Yeah but slalom only(?) - no offence to that discipline
Personally i would like to see some of Australia's Premier waves showcased and the waves competion run all year round not just over a few months.
AWT have it right. Premier locations = World class events
