hi rush and jimbob,

cheers for the fin. i only need one so maybe jimbob can still have the other. those g10 torquay fins are almost indestructable so mine is still in amazing condition.

i already have a 10". if there was a 9" going i'd be keen for that but either way i'll still grab one.

postage on me by the way.

cheers.

They look a little worse for wear - found them abandoned under a pile of old windsurfing gear that you can't even give away these days.

Not sure if they are worth the postage!!

Those are the ones I was taking about as being the best type IMHO ... better than that Profoil the O.P refers to

The one on the right looks salvageable, your re-foil job on the left looks a little dodge

South Oz tidal reef sailing - fins & luff sleeves seem to get a hammering - and the re foil has been done with a smooth rock on the beach before you head out again.

gee Gestalt yours are in better nick than mine, don't you guys have any reefs up there to bash into, my 10inch has had to many winters down at livingston bay, all reefs there and even no sand on the beach only pebbles and weed.
here is what I have still they must be at least 15+ years old, used the 9inch 3 times in the last week as we have had gale force winds non stop down here.

^ lots of rocks and crap.

you may notice a red tinge to the edges of my fin. plus i've done some man scaping over the years.

to be honest these torquay fins are almost unbreakable.

anyone tried one of these?
I remember these.Maybe thats why spin out is more of a problem for me these days .I cant remember spinout being a problem back in the old days ( read slot fin days) ..maybe its not me!

i'm sure it's the manscaping!

well my other fins don't really spin out either truth be told. ie. MFC freewave fins.

what i like about these slot fins is that they feel incredibly solid under feet and never let go in the gybes in winds over 25 knots. also if the board does lift and you feel the back end starting to let go they just grip again without any sailor input. whereas a standard fin would see you going sideways.

only comment as the others have said is that they are slow.
