Just got a GPS last week, used it twice.

First day, I got 19.8 knots, second day got 18 point something.

Thinking of selling it before I humiliate myself further...

Wet Willy, we have ways of dealing with phenomena upsetting the conception of our reality. Selling your GPS is one way to deal with the situation. Another way is to use the GPS as a tool to improve your sailing skills and to keep a log of your sailing sessions. From there you can record your sailing adventures for whatever purpose you decide in the future. You seem to travel around a bit and go windsurfing in different places so it would be great to keep track of where and when you've sailed.

My first GPS session was a bit disappointing too but you have to start somewhere and starting slower means the most probable way is up.

You may find, if you download to Realspeed, that your true speed is higher. I don't know why this is.

I can't upload anything; mine is an early model I think, a Navman M300. It was cheapish on ebay, and I am a sucker for cheap stuff
