Intriguing, but I'd sure like to see a better vid about it w/o some idiot who thinks he's funny and has no clue how to handle a mic.
The vid was very hard to watch, and I tried but had to give up about 2/3's the way thru.

I agree the production values left something to be desired but I thought his questions were right on topic. Overall an excellent video about an exciting developing product.

Just looking at an old Windsurfing mag in my collection from July 1995 and found this.

That was not the North sail I was referring to but that is also very interesting!

It does appear that this sail was made with conventional shaped, flat panels and seams though, and then reinforcing threads laminated over it. It's just that the seams were welded instead of stitched?

Yeah no it's not the North sail, I did try look for the old brochure, no luck thus yet. Was the Prisma 3Dl even a production item or just an example prototype?

But I did find the Oceanic advert. I don't think it is 3D, but to me does look like it was laminated in one go judging by the unbroken Kevlar fibers and the fact it says unstitched. Same goes for the window panel and batten pockets, not stitched, just head welded.

There's no two ways about it, all the micro-fibers running in the right directions is a huge step forward. I imagine there's going to be some serious tweaking going on. Now if we could only get rid of the battens. ;)

A mold would be required for each size.
Once molded , it needs to remain IN THE MOLD FOR 5 days,
making this one expensive piece of kit.
