Imax I have had a sail before, a looong time again that had a cord in the leach that could be tightened and tied off on a button.
Maybe it was my Bombora 6.2 fully cammed sail, or could have been a very old 7.0 Neil pryde warp race sail?

Warp Speed had that system. Great sail in 12-14 kts. HORRIBLE in 16kts

Tom Luedecke using the Willem Blauw designed Warpspeed. I think these would be good raceboard sails today in bigger sizes say 9.0m2, although they will have fallen apart by now. Ian Sampson (former NP WA) told me replicas were made sometime later with newer cams and they were faster than newer sails. Interesting how the old sails are relatively light.

But that's normally just to stop leach flutter, not to significantly reduce twist.

The weights are always interesting. It's funny that people keep on talking about new sails being lighter; as that table indicates it's often just not true.

I had a Warp speed back in '86 but it was a 7.0, too big for me, but a friend of mine who was bigger had the 6.4, and wished he had a 7.0, so we traded straight across, and both of us became happy. Man those things were FAST, speed tears fast. Close the gap (sail foot to board deck), and just hang on, it would lock in to the point to where you could let go of the booms at full speed, and lean back w/o the fear of being vaporized. Waaaaay fun.

I remember saving up for a Raf Speed, cost me 700 in 1990. Lot of after high school jobs. Raf speed used with the Tiga powerjibe!

Its been said here before , " it's better to have a newer sail on an older board , but that sail looks the other way around .
I wonder how it would go on a modern 80 wide 150 litre ?

If you're talking about the last pic just above the chart, it looks to me like he just landed a bunny hop from the looks of the wake and the splash going forward. So to me it looks like a very good, fast combo. One of those "in the eye of the beholder" things.
