Hi Kan, try the "search" feature - type in either "freewave" or "freestlyewave" or "fsw" or lots of other things, search in all forums for the last year and you'll come up with lots of good info. I've been looking at the Fanatic for a while now, don't think you could go wrong with one from the feedback on them.

Can send you a free digital copy of whole mag if you want, just send me your email address via Seabreeze email link above.

I can't manage the condition with my existing slalom board 2002 screamer 95L.....

if you want a seriously fast board get the JP 92... once I am powered up on that baby I pretty much smoke anyone on the water bar the guys with race sails 2 sqm bigger. just make sure you swap the fin for a more performance oriented model.

It's not really a wave board per se but again with the right fin choice can be fun in small onshore slop.

hey bud check out board seeker, they have a excellent review of both boards. Im looking myself.

while im at it has anyone had any experience with a minstral joker? i too am looking to get into freestyle but i also want a board that can cope with high winds, chop etc but also provides a good learning freestyle platform

That seems to be the "feature" of the JP - speed.

That's a big call considering I've done 30 knots with a Freewave 96, 27cm wave fin and wavesail. Can't say anything about the JP personally. The freewave 96 was quick, planed early and the best gybing board for its size i've ever had. I raced on it once so I definitely felt it was quick. They seem to prefer wave fins though, the stock mfc fins are great.

I've GPS'd the JP FSW 92 and it's good for consistent 30 knot runs on a wave sail and stock ' very average' fin. It's a very easy board to let fly down wind. I felt that it was the loosest JP FSW to date (on the right fin) as it has a fairly pointy and thin tail.

I did find it bit slow to get planing, but upside was that made it calmer in the chop.
