Be nice if the fin had a hinge mechanism built in to the fin casing and would sweep back if it came in contact with something as simple as weeds in the water and then spring back to its normal position again when the obstacle is gone.

Put two and two together...(Re: P_Mac's flat earth theory and the recent earthquakes) I think John340 hit one of the turtles which carries the flat earth on its back

Or find a desire to sail only 30m on a board that just feels wrong and won't go upwind for some inexplicable reason and spend most summers in the orthopaedic clinic of a flash hospital

Lol. Lucky you didn't pay full price. Guess it would make the pain a bit less. Thats what carbon fins are all about.

Did I tell you that those fins come with a concrete warranty? Haha.

Sad to see some quality gear get broken.

Chris, I agree, but these things happen. As the turtle was on its way up for air, I didn't even see it before I hit. It was a great fin, it worked brilliantly with the 7.1 in the 112. I've spoken with Slowy about a replacement, unfortunately he is in between manufacturers and hence wont be able to resupply immediately. I'll have to make do with my BP 35 in the meantime.
