For those old enough to remember, QLD in the 70s was one most gerrymandered governments ever. From the Courier Mail:
"Sir Joh’s gerrymander, in which smaller country seats were created to benefit National Party candidates, gained the conservatives 57 per cent of the seats with 42.2 per cent of the vote at the 1972 Queensland election."
