The Cove is a game changer, and we are getting one here in Perth, (as long as the Nimby's get their way).

Hopefully its a SUP free zone :)

Obviously no comparison with Slaters pool but this thing looks like a heap of fun. It's definitely not the 2m barrelling wave they've promised (they claim this thing is 1.8m) but if it winds up in Alfred cove you won't see me complaining

How much would you be willing to pay? These things go bankrupt regularly. Wave pools in general that is, not this one specifically.

Hey buster we all had this chat the lads I surf with reckon it's a big crowd factor vs dollars....
hire it between 20 mates for an hour for 2 grand one wave every 8 seconds 10 waves a minute that's a wave each every 2 minutes so the chance to catch30 waves in an hour for a hundred bucks yes for sure..

Here's the pricing schedule for the latest Wave Garden pool in Texas (N-Land ) which just recently opened.
Adjusted for exchange rate the Reef Wave (the only one worthwhile) is approx. $122.00 per session for just under 1 hr.

...but how many surfers do they allow in the water at one time? All it takes is one wave-hog ripper to ruin your $122 session...

I'd be keen to give it a try. I reckon the night surfing on a hot Summer's night would be the go.

I hear your arguement, but the song remains the same. I can't believe their wave count per hour, yet in anecdotal examples, my mates were indeed forming groups to book a pool in the middle of the night (with **** waves at low hourly wave count) and paying more than that per head. Those pools no longer exist.

I recon it will be line up, jump in, and go. I don't think it would be like a small take off spot with everyone jammed in.

It could be like the wake parks, you scan in each ride via wrist band, then jump in to take off zone. This would be slow though and would become chaos pretty quick. This helps them to track the individual sessions times of each person then as well.

it depends how much control they have over the wave rate, is it on demand or just constantly churning out waves
