My bug bear is how often do you see three or four people paddling for a wave only to have the guy on the inside pull of leaving no one going at all. That's why i say people should call. If im on the inside and didn't call, got dropped in on than i figure thats as much my issue.

If people are going to sit on the inside, paddle for a wave and then pull off leaving a good wave to roll through unsurfed without even a call of "you go" or whatever as far as i'm concerned the next gooden that comes through, if they get dropped in on it's their own fault.

So good points being made here,knowing my lineup well I know who will do what,its the others I worry about,I will always call someone on if I know he is in a better position or I'm not all that keen on that wave, not a fit grom so got to save the energy

I've watched it twice right thru and will have another peak later tonight.
TB's first wave was cracker then Tom Curren drops into one hell of a pit very next wave. One of the best footage I've seen.

Hey Scotty the best thing is we are blessed with this type of surfing every day which keeps our heads out of our ars- and KEEPS ITS REAL.

I'm so happy that I've surfed with many a world champion and also the future champions all home grown AUSSIES.Rabbit. Occ,Dean, Luke,MP,Steph and many others SHARE the line up with NO FUSS now that's what its all about,respect and more than happy to sit down the line and watch some of the best surfers at this time,past ,the future and current,this place breads surfing stars its just the vibe.


And its ALL GOOD.

and don't think for one minute that us QLD'ers wouldn't like to to see YOUR WA guy TB win.

There's always someone better

I have marvelled when surfing (sometimes really just spectating) the superbank and there is the best of the world out there including past world champs.

You dont get to take a drive out on the track with the F1 guys or jump the fence and have a kick with your favourite AFL footballer.

But out there you can get up close and in the thick of it.

^^^^ Classic footage there smicko but what a circus. I remember when the point would regularly break for much further than that, I wonder what's changed?

In my perfect garden you'd have to go ashore occasionally, and maybe then just for the occasionial land based version of said mermaid but with a look like Miranda Kerr Oh and a hoohaa
