Oh that's a long wait. He said twelve months. I might pick up something in the mean time.

I use bigger boards when I'm down the coast or on the rock. (Not the meth kind of rock) I'm thinking that mark ogram looks like a goer.

Make sure you call or drop in to see Rosie in Margs.

Al Bean does a lot of guns too. I've only had short boards off him, but people like Alfie Cater get boards off him so they must go okay.

And, yes, Oggie does a good board. As far as I know he is out of town for a few more months though.

Cheers mate I'm hoping to have something sorted for next winter really Building a house atm so surf time has been reduced a bit this year. I've got a 7"2" that's been working out. I do need a big margs board. Was left under gunned the other week. Hate that. Al Bean would be a good option

Aaah, Beastsurf. I just wanted to be sure you knew the wait times. I have had a bunch of boards off him but stopped years ago when the wait time blew out to six months - there isn't much to complain about there now in hindsight.

Having had one of his boards before you know how forgiving they are on the drop.

Just to depress you, I ordered mine in February last year. He reckons he will be starting it soon.

Wtf is he doing for 12 months? Farming the fibres organically, blowing his own foam by solar power and then shaping the blank with a tooth pick?

I think he is making about five or six a month. He just cruises. They are worth waiting for you just need to put the idea on the back burner and when he rings and says it's ready you know your gonna be stoked. Great bloke to talk surfing with. He is like an encyclopaedia of wave riding and board design.

And he is 71 and does everything by hand: shape, art, glass.

He is a sensational glasser too.

Plus he only shapes when he has "the vibe", so you know you'll get a "neat little shooter".

I remember his boards in the 80s. Precision Equip I think they were called?
In terms of guns Martin Littlewood knows his stuff. Had a few off him.
