This thread shouldn't die without at least some mention of arguably the greatest surf adventurer ever. That's right,

Peter Troy

In the 60's, long before Google earth, GPS or surf camps, Peter hitched the globe with a surfboard under his arm. A truly amazing adventure that simply could not be repeated today. The guy had no idea where he was even going, but managed to set a standard for surf travel that can now only be dreamed of.
