Hi all. Just put an order in for a 5'6 Hypto and 5'9 MD both with FCS2.
Would greatly appreciate any advice re which FCS2 fins would suit (noting the option to ride the MD as a quad)
Thanks in advance.

I got the performer (the middle set) for my mini driver. One lesson I learnt was do not let them give you a demo of putting them in and out in the shop. I got the free demo/ instruction and noticed pressure dings around the fins from bad / brutal technique. You don't need to touch the board at all if your doing it right. Agree with katana though, I can see problems down the track if your technique is bad. But they do loosen up and get easier.

Ps you can't get 5fin set yet so you'll have to buy thrusters then the two trailer for quad seperately.

I wouldn't go near them after seeing a demo, a coupla grub screws ain't that hard.
Not to mention that you can't use copy fins.

Actually you can use copy fins... You can insert any old FCS 2 tab fin into the new box.

You have the option of the new fin or the old one, you just add 2 grub screws and voila....

People are always resistant to change, that's why they've been ultra clever to make a better system than any other on the market without alienating or making redundant the millions of old FCS fins still in circulation.

Tried the quads today then went back to thruster. There's actually not much pressure onc e you have the action right and you have put them in and out a couple of times.

Isnt there a kit with spacer/ fillers so there isnt a gap under the front of the fins?

Would not surprise me, they have thought of everything else.

Also the new FCS Origin system looks amazing as well. Better than glass ons..

Will the old plugs still be available?

Not for much longer I suspect. Places like gas fins,Shapers etc will still sell them.
