i get the feeling it might paddle funny but maybe keeping the deck quite flat or trying the keep the volumes of each side similar might help to keep the board sit level while paddling thus keep the paddle speed high. Just a thought.

For the "Side Cut" rail of the board ill use the template/file from an existing 5"10" Maxi Pad (below) but with a rounded, peanut nose!




The "regular" rail line will be from a standard small wave grovellor.






i want to keep the deck relatively flat and then bevel the rails down quite abruptly! (Keep that consistent for both sides)
Flat into deep double concave starting approx 2/3 of the way down.
Thats the intention any way; but i can see that's going to get thrown out the window as soon as i cut into the actual foam
Should be fun project and keep me off the streets!

The cucumber

This is an asym that I shaped a couple of years ago. I love it! Its so much fun to ride, super fast down the line then super tight in the pocket! Ryan burch and Carl Eckstrom are 2 of the biggest proponents of asymetrics, Both of them hve blogs that are pretty cool.

Yep, My one is a fish on the toe side and a quad on the heels. designed with some of the right hand reefs we have locally. The hard part is that it is like surfing 2 boards at once.....takes a little getting used to.

I was thinking about glassing as is; to keep the soul intact inline with the initial thought process! And you know you love those "insta" filters., it makes everything look legit and hipsters love em makes me look like im using a Carl Zeiss lens.

Ill be scuffing/finishing the board this afternoon, so ill get some better photos then. The original photos were crap phone ones and a bit dark so id thought id put some smoke and mirror effects on them.
The Cut was a bit tricky, but i have some talented friends!!
