you'll notice i said occaisonally,and dependening on swell ...secret squirrel yada yada etc...its down to a pretty fine art after 15 years ... although its no longer as underground as it was.
the furthest i normally go on a week day ,depending on the the tide and banks , is across the ferry and up the beach,which can take anywhere from 15mins to 35mins,
takes me about 2 mins to drive to the main break or 5mins on the bike (but 10 back up the hill)the grommets in this town are pretty lazy which i am happy about,as i am quite often the youngest of the early guys and i am on the wrong side of forty
at least they don't punch me in the head and steal my lunch money anymore (we used to be grateful for that .................luxury)
the only wind i can't get reasonable waves in is straight east or south east in which case i drag out the kite
