shortie today. mac was kind enough to lend me his new 'splice' the evo2 with o7 rocker.
whatever that means makes for a very nice smooth fast feeling board that on one wave I turned from the tail the whole wave without like, I was going to drop off.

you'll dig yours vanders
Glad you liked riding my favourite board while I rode my not so favourite,as one of the regulars said your a good mate to sacifice a great surf.
Now we need to see some photos of Vanders secret new weapon that has been kept under wraps and then to force him to ride it.
glad to see you boys on the goldie getting some nice ones. i would say the month of may is a great time for surfing Qld,,, water temps still warm, light winds, clear days, crowds thinned out. gods country
I rode the 7'er which has 42 litres of volume (happens to be my shortboard volume) and was completely under-whelmed by it. The 8'7" has 67 litres and so should feel very different and have the length to get some glide which the 7'er with its high nose and tail rocker didn't have. I'd like to try an 8'11". Would like to hear more about it once you ride it a few times.
Yep I have got a couple of early sessions in .... I give it until the second & third crew rocks up after that it's a dog's breakfast to get a wave at all too much of a hassle
