Ted the Kiwi said...
Good evening from the train - should be home in another hour or so for some beers with a fellow breezier. I am definitely not a commuter - it's just too hard. Last night I got caught in a traffic incident and my normal 80-90 minute drive home took 150 plus. Another city meeting finishing late in the day so I thought I would catch the train down today - on the way down stopped for a sick passenger n had to wait for ambulance, then train in front broke down - end result 30 mins late for meeting after leaving myself 30 mins to spare! Then on the way home train was cancelled and had to wait 25 June for the next one. I had every intention of doing the right thing but I think I am back to driving. A shame as at least you can do work on the train.
Anyway that's the rant over - have to find something to moan about as we have no swell for at least 4 or 5 days and it's going to drive me insane. If it was just a touch bigger I would have driven up to see Laird tom morning but not worth it IMO when's its 6 inches. A real shame as was looking forward to that.
Have a good weekend chaps. Go Swans, Souths n Broncos tonight.
Just looked at this Ted - been a big weekend.
As part of my treatment for my various phscosis (cant get that to spell check properly no matter what I do) I have had to take a big look at my work life - or my work dominated lack of life.
By all means take the train, but not as a way of working more. Look out the window and relax - who said we have to do work to and from work? We are too focussed on work.
Billy Bragg (English song writer you may be old enough to know about) did a rant at a concert about how our (my) generation had pissed away 100 years of labour reform in one generation.
He is right, me as an employer of 30 odd blokes.
Oops, my rant rantier than expected, and not a topic for a 'Good evening"
If no swell get a 666.
