I was so annoyed at that point - not because of what happened but because the feed I was watching online let me down and I never got to see the complete wave - it looked like he laboured one of those turns and then failed to ride out of the aerial. I had not been watching the rest of the heat closely so hard for me to judge unfortunately. I was deep in conversation with a mate and it was just on in the background.

Mac, I watched some surfing last night but the waiting in between waves was really testing my attention span (or lack there of).
I have drawn the conclusion that live surfing is not for me but give me a highlights package any day.

Any wave that needs a 9'6 Rhino chaser is one that is too big for me

He makes super nice boards - have only ever seen 3 of them in the flesh but have appreciated each one. Not sure I will ever get to own one but you never no your luck. I often dream of heading to Hawaii for a late season dash - March / April - when everyone has had enough and loading up on a few good quality 2nd hand boards. My spies tell me they are very well priced at that time of the year - probably very well used as well
