Not necessarily, a few glitches there, but distance and not too much fuss so I didn't despair..

I kinda agree that some modern logging is just lame . The boards aren't proper logs and they don't get surfed like Logs should.
But IMO good surfing is always about speed, trim and picking a good line whether it be, short, midlength or long.
