Yeah know what you mean , each state should have a state of origin development exclusion percentage applied ie: if a player is from say NSW , then there should be a 100K exemption from the cap/total player payments limit - this could be applied to all codes so that clubs that develop these guns get something for their efforts - that 100K is reversed when interstate clubs go on the poach , it costs them an automatic 100K extra to that developer club
Gold Coast Titters - MD Michael Searle has walked from the position & will be Executive Director of Footy , the new administrative team is to be headed by David May who has sponsorship dealing history with the Titters ( Jetstar & iSelect )
Seems not all is well in the Souths camp Scotty - are you worried???? How far does the mud stick?
SOUTH Sydney have sacked James Roberts, a player believed to be one of their most promising rising stars.
The Rabbitohs issued a two sentence statement today saying they had sacked Roberts and his under 20 teammate Adrian Ha'angana for breaches of their contracts and the club's code of behaviour.
The club also said it would make no further comment on the decision.
Roberts is a nephew of former NRL player Amos Roberts, who played 226 top grade games in Australia and England with Penrith, Sydney Roosters, St George Illawarra and Wigan.
A member of the 2011 Toyota Cup team of the year, Roberts played 10 first grade games for the Rabbitohs in 2011.
It is understood the players have 14 days to respond to their breach notices.
I know the T Cup coach and will be seeing him next couple of days - keep you posted. That Roberts is a gun - saw him score 4 tries in T Cup last year. I know the club is strict as since Maguire came and some young blokes struggle with the rules.
ok, the mail is: 6 bunnies from T Cup visited a certain 'establishment' in the wee hours one morning. At this particular 'establishment' they played up to the point of the boys in blue paying a visit. The 2 players sacked were on their last warning and the other 4 are currently on their first and last warning. Young blokes just know how to blow (boom, boom) their opportunities.
Geez she's wide wide open now - Dragons & Tittans made sure of that Bulldogs & Rabbits GF will the Horses be hot to trot Can Manboygirly recover will the Storm pfffffffft out will the Cow rooters shed their rawhide chaps ...... hmmmmmm it's on fer the young and the slightly startled now
May this be the year of the rabbit? I hate to call it early but jeepers they are looking the goods whilst many of those around them are falling by the way side except for the Doggies and as we know anything can happen on the day.....just saying
Their defence looks awesome and the Tigers are just going across the field looking like idiots.
